Safety at the Facility

The Purdue MRI Facility strives to maintain a safe environment for the researchers and the subjects/patients. Of most concern is the presence of the 3.0 T superconducting magnet in the scan room that is always on. Failure to respect this magnet and the hazardous environment it creates can result in serious injury or death. Therefore, these videos, documents, and links below are available to demonstrate the danger of the superconducting magnet and to explain what one should and should not do while at the facility.
